If you’re looking to hire a professional for your next project you probably have quite a few questions that need answering.

WHAT SHOULD THE CUSTOMER KNOW ABOUT YOUR PRICING?

Our fee’s are based on the scope and complexity of the project and the services requested.

Costs can range from $500 - $4,000.

WHAT IS YOUR TYPICAL PROCESS FOR WORKING WITH A NEW CUSTOMER?

Upon initial contact, details of the project will be discussed. Once a clear understanding of the scope is reached, a rough estimate will be submitted based on the type / complexity of the project and any additional options chosen. Upon hiring EDS Drafting Services, a Service Agreement will be assembled for review. Once approved, a signature and deposit will be required in order to schedule the project. Next step would be for us to schedule a site visit where the construction is to take place. At that time measurements, photos and documentation will take place as well as a detailed discussion of the project. When all of the information is received, the drawings begin. You will be sent, via email, some rough plans along the way allowing us to perform revisions where necessary. When we receive your final approval, you will get a digital copy and / or a hard copy to submit for a permit.

WHAT EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING DO YOU HAVE THAT RELATES TO YOUR WORK?

EDS Drafting Services maintains a degree in Carpentry which includes residential drafting. We also currently hold a PA State Certification issued by the Pennsylvania State Uniform Construction Code as well as 12 additional state and national certificates in construction codes.

HOW DID YOU GET STARTED DOING THIS TYPE OF WORK?

EDS Drafting Services first started in out in 1997 in the construction industry. With over 21 years in Design-Build-Remodel, drafting played a major role not only in the permitting process but in providing the necessary construction plans that ensured a clear, understandable and productive way to build.

WHAT TYPES OF CUSTOMERS HAVE YOU WORKED WITH?

We enjoy working with a variety of clientele, from homeowners and DIY'rs to Contractors and Design Professionals.

WHAT WAS A RECENT PROJECT THAT YOU WERE FOND OF?

We had the opportunity to design, plan and draw a HUGE residential two tier wrap around deck which included two separate porch roofs for a customer in the Bethel Park area. The project was constructed and turned out to be amazing!

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE A CUSTOMER LOOKING TO HIRE A PROVIDER IN YOUR AREA OF WORK?

Do your research, obtain at least 2-3 estimates, weigh out the pro's and con's.

WHAT QUESTIONS SHOULD CUSTOMERS THINK THROUGH BEFORE TALKING TO PROFESSIONALS ABOUT THEIR PROJECT?

- What would a project like mine typically cost?
- What is the turn-around from signing to receiving my drawings?
- Are there any additional, hidden, costs?

- How is the customer service?
- Is my project too small for the services that you provide?
- Will your company help in obtaining the permit?
